Future Plans
The goal, hope and dreams of the Minna Hope Foundation is to provide as many villages as possible in Niger State, Nigeria with clean drinking water and basic educational opportunities. We have the organization in place to implement our projects through the Minna Diocese. The purpose of the foundation is to raise funds to drill wells and make them operational as well as to build schools and operate them.
We have had tremendous success before we were a foundation to provide a well in the village of Jangaru which over 2,000 people are now dependent on for clean, dependable and safe drinking water. We have also built and operate 3 school buildings in Jangaru providing basic education for over 200 students. We have provided a reliable water supply in Kalaba now used by over 5,000 people. In September 2025 an 8 room school was opened in Kalaba which has been a huge success.
2026 Goals
With 340 students already registered at the new 8 room Kalaba school and another 100 anticipated in 2026, another 8 room school is needed. The anticipated cost of this school is $100,000.
Two communities in great need of a well are Kpada village and Sabon Gari village. The anticipated cost of each well and distribution system is $10,000.
Operational cost of Jangaru school and Kalaba school is anticipated at $20,000 annually for each school. We need to develop a reserve to insure that we can always operate the schools we build and keep the water systems operational that we provide.
Minna Hope's prayer is that this foundation grows exponentially to positively impact the lives of the poorest of the poor. We can help so many people and do so much in Nigeria for so little money relative to costs and what we take for granted in America.
