Kalaba 2nd 8 room School 

In September of 2025 an 8-classroom school was opened in Kalaba. The school is for nursery, primary and secondary age students. The initial enrollment at the school far exceeded the demographic expectations for the number of students planned. The need for a 2nd 8-classroom school was immediately recognized. 387 students are registered and expected for the 2026/2027 school term. Additionally, even more students are expected when the farming season is over. More neighboring villages are expressing a desire to send children to the Kalaba schools.

The family in Southern Colorado that funded the 1st Kalaba school has generously been funding the 2nd Kalaba school which is under construction. We hope to have the 2nd school open in the Fall for the 2026/2027 school term. The budget to build and startup this 2nd school is $105,000.
