Kpada Water Well Project

Kpada Water Well Project

Kpada is a community located near Gulu, Niger state Nigeria. The economy is predominantly farming, crafting and trading. Farming is the major activity for the villagers’ survival. The community is a mix of Christians, Muslims and traditional tribesmen. The population is over 1500 with other hamlets and villages not far away. A water well project will transform an entire village. It is life changing to have a source of clean reliable water that will reduce waterborne diseases and will make life considerably easier for the local population that has to spend so much life energy just getting to any water source which may require considerable walking. The water project will serve men, women, children, the elderly and vulnerable groups, ensuring equitable access to clean water.

The Kpada well project was completed June 2026. The well is being utilized by the 1,500 people in Kpada and neighboring villagers. The total cost of the Kpada water well project was $8,216.
